We have specialised in tailor-made

Tanzania Holidays and Tanzania Safaris

for more than two decades.  Booking with us will guarantee you the very best itinerary for your time of year and budget, and your trip will be safely covered by our ATOL bond.

Our hard-won knowledge and  failsafe network of contacts in Tanzania  will provide you with invaluable back-up and cost no more than if you were to book with lodges directly.  Our credentials could not be better: our M.D. is a judge of The Good Safari Guide and a retired director of the African Travel and Tourism Association, and one of our Directors wrote the Cadogan Guide to Tanzania, (partially reprinted here).  All of our team have travelled the length and breadth of the country many times.  Please read more about us

This website has been entirely written by us, and provides a wealth of impartial and often highly opinionated information, and is a great place to start your planning.  However, we also arrange face to face presentations in our offices in London, using our videos, maps and brochures with real, interactive, human guidance and clear explanations!  For those who cannot make it in person we can arrange a virtual presentation which simply requires you to be sitting in front of a computer.  If you want something to download to give you a great overview of Tanzania, then please do download our Tanzania brochure or simple guide to Tanzania

Most popular destinations
Fanjove Island

Fanjove is the most exciting new beach destinations in Tanzania in recent years - a superb beach and an absolute Robinson Crusoe experience.

Jongomero

Jongomero is an absolutely exceptional safari camp.  It is one of our favourites in the whole of Tanzania, which is not a compliment we hand out easily.  It is the most luxurious camp in the park as well as offering fantastic service, the most remote location and guiding so good it borders on genius.  Jongomero really is a firm favourite and one we highly recommend.

Greystoke Mahale
Greystoke is one of the best lodges in Africa, there is really nowhere else like it and the game experience is very different – trekking in the Mahale Mountains for Chimpanzees!  Lake Tanganyika is an ancient lake and the second largest by volume in the world.  The main thatched building sits on the white beach and the 6 bandas are hidden into the edge of the undergrowth with incredible views out onto the water.  It’s not cheap but if you have travelled all this way then you simply must stay at this lodge.
Olakira

Olakira is one of the finest mobile camps in the Serengeti.  It follows the same route as Serian in that it moves twice a year.  From July to November they’re in the north of the Serengeti in the Karatu region.  Then from December to March they move back down to fantastic spot in the Ndutu plains.  At Olakira you are guaranteed great guiding, lovely food and a luxurious but authentic safari camp.  Its position in the north is unbeatable as you can actually see the river crossing from the comfort of the camp.

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

Without doubt one of the top ten hotels in the world.  Perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and with views to die for; people come to Tanzania just to stay here.  This is &Beyond’s flag ship property; quirky and something different from other properties on a northern itinerary.  &Beyond call it ‘ Masaai meets Versaille’, we find it verging on over the top - but if you can afford it  - you must stay here!
