We have specialised in tailor-made

Tanzania Safaris and Tanzania Honeymoons

for more than two decades.  Booking with us will guarantee you the very best itinerary for your time of year and budget, and your trip will be safely covered by our ATOL bond.

Our hard-won knowledge and  failsafe network of contacts in Tanzania  will provide you with invaluable back-up and cost no more than if you were to book with lodges directly.  Our credentials could not be better: our M.D. is a director of the African Travel and Tourism Association, and a judge of The Good Safari Guide, and one of our Directors wrote the Cadogan Guide to Tanzania, (partially reprinted here).  All of our team have travelled the length and breadth of the country many times.  Please read more about us

This website has been entirely written by us, and provides a wealth of impartial and often highly opinionated information, and is a great place to start your planning.  However, we also arrange face to face presentations in our offices in London, using our videos, maps and brochures with real, interactive, human guidance and clear explanations!  For those who cannot make it in person we can arrange a virtual presentation which simply requires you to be sitting in front of a computer.  If you want something to download to give you a great overview of Tanzania, then please do download our Tanzania brochure or simple guide to Tanzania

Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater is the best place in Tanzania to see the 'Big Five' and is an absolutely beautiful place to be on safari.  Unavoidably, the Ngorongoro Crater is busy, at times very busy, but given it is one of the worlds most amazing natural wonders, it is going to be busy.  However, due to the crowds we recommend a 2 night stay only, after that the safari time should be spent in the Serengeti.

Located in southern Tanzania, the Selous Game Reserve is Africa's largest game reserve and one of our favourite game viewing areas in Africa.  It really is a hidden gem!  It’s much quieter than the Northern parks, the rivers and lakes of the Selous are the lifeblood to a park that hosts phenomenal volumes of game including Africa's largest elephant and wild dog populations and probably it's largest buffalo, hippo, crocodile and lion prides.

Mnemba Island lodge

Travel writers have often named Mnemba as one of the top beaches in the world, certainly in Africa.  Mnemba is the ultimate definition of barefoot luxury, one of the few places where you can snorkel straight off the beach and onto pristine reef.  Owned and run by &Beyond, the food and service is top class- however, all this does come an eye watering cost…

The Serengeti National Park is one of the most celebrated wildlife reserves in the world.  Game viewing in the Serengeti is outrageously good at all times of the year; it is one of those rare places that never fails to live up to all the hype.
Ras Kutani

The best beach lodge in east Africa!  As a company we have explored the entire coast and there nowhere that gets near to Ras Kutani.  It is ‘bare foot beach luxury’ at its best and comes at fantastic value.  It is secluded, private and spectacularly beautiful. Team this with fantastic rooms, lovely food and great service and we have ourselves a champion of beach lodges.

Singita Faru Faru

Singita Faru Faru is one of our very favourite lodges. Run by Singita, the lodge is the lovechild of Paul Tudor Jones (a billionaire who runs them as his playthings!) and Faru Faru can be counted as probably the best safari lodge Tanzania.  One of three of their supreme properties (Sasakwa and Sabora being the others) it forms part of the private Grumeti Reserves, situated in the west of the Serengeti.  Yet because it’s a private park you can night drive, horse-ride and walk.  A modern interpretation of a classic safari lodge, it has intimacy, luxury and excellent guiding in spades.

Serian Serengeti North
Serian Serengeti North is exactly what a safari camp should be.  Alex knows the bush like the back of his hand and it’s this kind of knowledge that he demands from his guides and they rise to the challenge with aplomb.  It is an adventurous experience with a luxurious edge that no one ever forgets. Our favourite mobile tented camp in Kogatende
