KIMONDO’S TOP LOCATION IN THE SOUTH
One month ago, Kimondo Camp moved for the first time with the migration to the south – to the beautiful Kusini area of the Southern Serengeti. Kimondo is located on the edge of a mini “crater” with spectacular views of the bowl ahead which is often filled with plains game. Kimondo offers access to game drives in both the SNP and NCAA.
Surrounded and protected by acacia forests but with amazing views over the plains where the migrating wildebeest graze during December to March. The area of Kimondo Camp couldn’t be any better – guests are remote and way from the hustle and bustle. The area is made up of a mixture of acacia forests, open plains and concealed kopjes providing a perfect environment for both hunter and the hunted.
How to access Kimondo Camp
The best and easiest option to reach Kimondo Camp is by flying to Kusini airstrip, which is about 40 minutes drive from the camp and easily reachable. It is also possible to drive to Kimondo, either from Ngorongoro via Ndutu or from Seronera. While the Seronera Road which passes the Moru Rhino project area is a maximum 2 hour drive in dry season with lots of game sightings on the way, it is advised to rather use the routing via Nabi gate and Ndutu when wet.
