Option 1 – Western Tanzania safari and Zanzibar
This itinerary gives you access to the rarely visited Western parks along with a beach break at the beginning and end of the trip
Days 1 to 2 - Ras Kutani Fly from Dar es Salaam down the coast to Ras Kutani for your first 2 nights beside the Indian Ocean
Days 3 to 4 - Mdonya Old River Camp Fly from Ras Kutani to Dar and to Ruaha for game drives and walking safaris in the Ruaha National Park. Overnight in Mdonya Old River Camp.
Days 5 to 8 - Foxes Wilderness Camp Fly from Ruaha to Katavi for 4 nights of game drives and walking safaris in this most remote of Tanzania’s parks. Overnight Foxes Wilderness Camp.
Days 9 to 11 - Greystoke camp, Mahale Fly from Katavi to Mahale for 3 nights of walking, chimp trecking and relaxing on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Overnight Greystoke camp.
Days 12 to 16 - Echo Beach Fly to Zanzibar to for your final 5 nights on a half board basis.
