The Rufii River Camp is at the lower end of the price range for camps in the Selous. In our view, if you are looking at keeping costs down, you are better off going to Lake Manze Tented Camp for a very small up-cost and guaranteeing a better game experience.

Having had a long chat with the new owners, we have gleaned that their plan is to knock down the entire camp and start again! The idea is to separate into two camps, what is currently one large camp. The details above are true as far as we can gather. Having operated lodges all over Tanzania for the past 20 years or so, this is definitely going to be a camp to watch! The sister camp, the Frederick Courtney Selous camp, at 6 tents, is going to have more of a bush camp feel?.but who knows at the moment!
