Sayari is Swahili for universe or planet, capturing the vast plains and endless skies in which the camp is immersed. Situated just back from the Masai River in the Serengeti, Tanzania, the camp was designed to strike the perfect balance between luxury and immersion in the extensive Serengeti. Far away from any other sign of human life, the Sayari Camp crew ensures that every guest feels at home in this remote location.

Fifteen spacious house-like tents, raised up on platforms, with wooden floors, en suite bathrooms with a king size bed and a private verandah with a overlooking the Serengeti.

Equipped with two dinning areas, lounges and communal campfire places, doubles the privacy of the camp and with Africa as it’s backdrop completes the perfect bush setting. Sayari Camp's talented cooks offer guests a fusion of European cuisine with authentic African elements. The camp's naturalist guides offer a wealth of knowledge on the wonderful surrounding land and its inhabitants.

Sayari is the only camp in the Serengeti permitted for walking safaris – and in an area like this it is difficult to beat.

Sayari Camp– Our view

Without any doubt one of the best locations in the Serengeti (if not THE best) and a superb luxury tented camp in itself. Guiding here is superb, food and service are also set very high but it is the location that makes this place one of Tanzania’s best camps. The Lamai Wedge/Northern Serengeti is private due to it being a fly in destination only. The Kenyan masses cannot cross the border and the Serengeti Seronera crowds cannot make it up in one day. Therefore this is THE best and most private area to view the Migration – August and September are absolutely perfect, river crossings pretty much guaranteed
