With its combination of great location, good food, relaxed atmosphere and excellent guiding, we believe this is the best, all-year-round camp in the park and the best value for money.

Selous Safari Camp - The Detail
The camp is spacious and stylishly designed for an atmospheric stay, with a shady swimming pool to complete its appeal. A richly furnished dining room and bar are raised high on stilts substantial enough to withstand the onslaught of elephant perusals during candlelit suppers, and the billowing sleeping tents each have their own private veranda are colourfully bright and airy.
The atmosphere at Selous Safari Camp is relaxed and yet wonderfully comfortable, with good attention to detail; the camp staff give guests a real sense of being looked after, and provide an inspired gourmet menu that belies the rural bush location, even on intrepid fly-camping expeditions. Standards of guiding and wildlife expertise are hard to beat with many of the guides having spent all their years in the Selous Game Reserve.
Taking the opportunity to fly-camp under the stars with the experts is extremely worthwhile. Typical days involve a morning and an afternoon game activity; on foot, by boat, or from an open sided vehicle.
As one of the first camps in the park, it remains the best.
