African Safaris - Other Countries

Tanzania has superb wildlife and natural wonders, and could handle many weeks' of unparalleled itineraries, exploring bush, beach and mountain with little need to go elsewhere...

However, over the years, our passion for Africa has lured us into all of the safari countries, to the extent that we have a keen knowledge and love for all the best places in East and Southern Africa.

As a result, we have developed individual specialists for each of our country divisions, to give you the latest, brightest, up-to-date advice.

Below is a brief introduction to each of our divisions:

Botswana is home to some of the most unspoilt National Parks in Africa. Botswana’s prices are high but the results of paying Africa's highest price tag are outstanding. The Okavango Delta and Moremi Game reserves have incredible game and the lodges offer an unbeatable standard of exclusivity.

After exclusivity, Botswana’s secondary attraction is its diversity of activities, with walking, boating and day and night safari presented as part of the experience. It is also easy to combine a trip with Victoria Falls.

Kenya has long been known as the original destination for safari fans. Its fame came with a price, as the country overflowed with tourists. Recently, however, there has been a resurgence in both the quality and number of camps and, with its varied topography, it is once again becoming a destination of real note.

From the vast plains of the Masai Mara to the sparse moonscapes of the north Kenya is a visual delight, and a longterm conservation plan here ensures that prolific wildlife thrives.

Zambia is the undisputed home of the walking safari, also famed for being Africa’s least-visited big game country.
Zambia is highly regarded as having the best guiding on the continent.

Known for years as the connoisseur’s destination, Botswana takes the lead for the diversity of activities available, but it is its incredibly unspoilt, under-populated National Parks that ensure it remains one of the finest African wildlife experiences.

Mozambique has some of Africa’s finest beaches, and although much of the country is still undeveloped, there are two archipelagos with breathtaking island lodges; Bazaruto
in the south and Quirimbas in the north. Both chains of islands are truly beautiful and here lie some of Africa's finest lodges, on arguably the best beaches in the world. There is little safari choice here, but the Niassa Reserve in the North has good populations of elephant and excites safari buffs.

Namibia is a land unlike any other. A country so vast and huge, at over 800,000 square kilometres, that it is greater than Great Britain and France combined, but with a population of only 1.5 million people. A landscape so dramatic that its sand dunes are higher than any in the world, and its deserts, the Namib along the coastline, and the Kalahari in the eastern interior, provide an awe-inspiring landscape to marvel and endlessly explore. It is a land so extraordinary that Nambian safaris are unlike any other.

The sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean wash the shores of idyllic islands including Mauritius and the Seychelles and span clear depths thriving with wild sea life and stunning coral reefs. Met by coral sands and dappled by the shade of palms, this ancient and most historic of oceans, around which the earliest of the world's civilisations developed, is now a destination for its own sake. This is the realm of ultimate holiday dreams.
