Burkina - GEOGRAPHY
The majority of northern Burkina Faso lies in the
Sahel (the fringe of the Sahara desert) the land dries
out into scrub and semi desert only in the south are
there areas of wooded savannah.
There are three rivers named the Black, White and Red
Voltas. Settlements in the valleys are limited due to the risk of malaria and river blindness.
