An example lodge safari itinerary through Zimbabwe visiting Lake Kariba, the Victoria Falls and Upper Zambezi, and Hwange National Park. An excellent itinerary for those travelling to Africa for the first time.
MON Day 01: Depart London Gatwick on the overnight Air Zimbabwe flight to Harare.
TUE Day 02: Morning arrival and onward connection to Lake Kariba. Transfer across the lake to SPURWING ISLAND CAMP where the first four nights of your holiday are spent. Game-viewing by boat, open 4WD vehicle, or on foot (full board).
SAT Day 06: Transfer back across the lake to Kariba, and fly to Victoria Falls where you are met and transferred to the MAKASA SUN. Two nights in the falls (bed and breakfast).
MON Day 08: Morning transfer west to IMBABALA SAFARI CAMP on the banks of the Zambezi in the Matetsi Safari Area. Three nights here with opportunities for game-viewing on foot, open 4WD vehicles and by boat. Night drives also available (full board).
THU Day 11: Morning game-viewing then transfer back to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Hwange. Transfer on arrival to JAJIMA SAFARI CAMP bordering the National Park. The final four nights of your safari spent game-viewing on foot or by open 4WD vehicle (full board).
MON Day 15: Morning at leisure game-viewing before connecting with the late afternoon flight to Harare. Arrive and connect with your return Air Zimbabwe overnight flight to London.
TUE Day 16: Early arrival into Gatwick.
Includes international flights on Air Zimbabwe (economy); internal flights and transfers; twin accommodation on board basis mentioned; all game-viewing activities; drinks and laundry at Imbabala and Jajima; U.K. airport departure taxes.
