Plantation LodgeThis is located in the heart of African Bush and surrounded by the coffee plantations of Hemingways inspiration, the Plantation Lodge gives its guests both the excitement of a safari and the luxury of their extremely comfortable lodge. Daily Safaris begin from the Plantation Lodge then cross the legendary Masaai Territory towards the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater or to the National Parks of Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Experienced and reliable guides are individually booked from the lodge to give guests a truly memorable experience as they recount their tales of the wilderness. Rooms have their own individual style; they are designed to give maximum relaxation after dusty safaris. Each room has its own veranda and bathroom and is designed with African-safari antiques, arts and crafts. The Plantation Lodge also offers exquisite meals with menu choices ranging from European specialties to exotic dishes prepared in the Suaheli-kitchen. Only the freshest ingredients are used which are taken from the lodges own vegetable garden. Together with the meal guests also have the choice of a selection of exquisite South African wines. Guests can also relax by the pool while sipping sundowners after a dusty and unforgettable safari.

In our view Plantation is the best of the Coffee Plantations along this stretch of road. Gibbs Farm is superb but slightly too overused and on the A&K circuit for lunch breaks thus invading the privacy that a lodge like this deserves.
