Pole Pole is a very peaceful and relaxed lodge; as soon as you arrive you instantly forget about the outside world and give in to a Pole Pole time so a great place to base your self while you make the most of Mafias great diving. But there is one major flaw, no pool! When it its 37 degrees and the tides out you just cant swim! Please Pole Pole build a pool! We have been saying it for years but still, no pool. It would otherwise be such a great little lodge.

Although technically there is no dive centre at Pole Pole, there is a very good PADI dive centre just around the corner at Kinasi Lodge
Pole Pole - The Detail
The dining area is also wood decking, raised on stilts near the waters edge, and cooking is reputedly fine. Pole Pole (slowly slowly in Swahili), is what this place is all about; relax and take things slowly, in African time.
The lodge is so small that it might be a good choice for a couple of couples, who would practically have the run of the place. They have boats for trips, snorkelling and fishing, but no diving facilities. There are very simple beach bandas along the waterfront without en-suite bathrooms for a better price.
