Kiba Point Kiba Pint is the fabulous new private safari camp run by Sand Rivers. This new 4 roomed private camp is set on the banks of the Rufiji River, just down stream from Sand Rivers Selous itself and shares the outstanding views Sand Rivers has become so famous for.
4 spacious, airy cottages, made of stone and thatch, are raised up on platforms above the river line. The interiors are cool and elegant with huge beds and softly draped mosquito nets, planters chairs and sun-beds for chilling out. The bathrooms are spacious and open; with hot/cold running water, flush loos, and an indoor and outdoor shower. There are plunge pools for every room and a large swimming pool at the main mess. The mess/ dining area spoils you with plump sofas, a library of books, your own bar, and lots of space to make your own. The food is fantastic, and the drinks are always cold.
This 8 bed camp can only be booked only on a totally exclusive basis, including all game drives, walking safaris, birding, boating and fishing trips. Although seemingly good for families vwe do not recommend young children come here due to the openness of camp
All the activities at Kiba Point are exclusive to the camp. Private cars and guides are on hand to take you out for daily adventures; early morning game drives, walking, boating, fishing, and fly-camping.

Well it is actually the only one but that’s besides the point…this is an extension of the exceptional Sand Rivers and the lodges reputation simply assures you that this camp is fantastic! With the same quality of guiding, atmosphere, stunning location and superb views as Sand Rivers, this is a truly great camp. (and being the only camp in Tanzania (apart from Sasakwa in the Serengeti) to have private plunge pools for every room it offers something that nowhere else does!). We love it
