This beautiful, 8 bed private camp is set on the banks of the Rufiji River, just downstream from Sand Rivers Selous. The camp is perfect for private groups, friends and families, although due to the openness of the camp it is not suitable for
very young children.

Set in the same great game area as its sister camp, the lodge is away from the crowds and benefits from the same spectacular, riverside views from the main area. The big benefit of having a private camp is that all activities are provided exclusively and thus, all walking, boating and game viewing activities can be done on demand.

Each of the luxury, open and airy villas is made up of a plunge pool, open bathroom with outside shower and river views. The fronts of each villa has been left open but with a 5 foot step in order to allow a sense of being in the bush but with out the inherent dangers this can bring.

Kiba Point – Our view

The Selous has long been lacking in private houses. Where both Kenya to the north and Zambia to the south have offerings, it has been a clever move to create a location where a group can go without needing to feel like they have to keep it down! The rooms themselves, with their light an breezy aspect provide truly luxury accommodation and relaxing in the plunge pool after a hot game drive is one of life’s pleasures! This is definitely worth considering if you are looking to travel as a group and, with the nightly rate coming down to around that of the main lodge, it is also fantastic value for money.
