Lazy Lagoon This blissful Island can be found in the Zanzibar Channel just off the coast of Tanzania. The island has nine kilometres of deserted, white, beach and a indigenous forest which provides a home to many small mammals.
It is the perfect place for sun worshipping, swimming and snorkelling but also offers kayaking to explore the lagoon and mangrove forest, sunset dhows to the coral reef and nearby sand islands or a visit to the historical town Bagamoyo. Accommodation is provided in large, spacious, airy rooms with wide, shaded verandas. The lodge also provides a wide variety of fresh seafood with some truly imaginative menus!

A really great option for people who want to stay for a long period on the mainland coast. Good standards of service and these 'imaginative' menus mean that a stay here is always worthwhile. Such a shame that it is over an hour by road from Dar.
