Grumeti Tented Camp This is a fabulous Conservation Corporation Camp in the Western Serengeti, located on the Grumeti River, one of the crossing points of the annual Great Migration. Safaris in this part of the Serengeti can be simply stunning.

About Grumeti Grumeti Tented Camp is beautifully crafted in wood, stone and canvas to blend with its bush surroundings. The ten vast double tents were specifically designed to create a light and airy atmosphere, and are each completed with wooden floorboards, dinky wooden bathrooms and wide, hand built beds and fantastic views of the hippo filled Grumeti River. Each of Grumeti’s tents are set in private surroundings in the bush, a short walk along pathways, lit by kerosene lamps, to the dining room. The communal areas are again made in wood and stone and this includes the dining area which has a central open fire and outdoor pizza oven to incite a healthy appetite and spend nights under the Serengeti skies. Nearby, the pool is cool and clear and well-tended, and the sounds from the local hippo pool fill the air at night.
