A simple comfortable safari camp which will suit those more interested in the wildlife than the luxury spa circuit.
Large comfortable and well furnished tents in a camp offering great plains views and good food and service. Nomad are excellent.

We have just returned from a holiday in Tanzania which included 4 nights at Katavi and simply wanted to tell you that it was the highlight of our trip. We had a wonderful four days criss-crossing the area with Apollo who was the perfect guide, he told us the obvious things and then elaborated on reasons and examples etc. and was, as far as we could tell, word perfect on bird identification, showing us the pictures in the book to confirm what he said. Also Adam and Vicki were excellent hosts, we had a guided tour of the developments and would love to go back and check them out… Adam’s knowledge of bird life was phenomenal, and he shared his enthusiasm with us even lending us his telescope for an afternoon.
The cuisine was amazing, I cant imagine how the chef produced such good meals, and it’s the first time in
Africathat we haven’t been troubled by Gippy tummy!
So, congratulations to all concerned, and thanks for a wonderful trip,

i have been traveling for the past ten years in africa, mainly southern africa, including botswana, zambia, zimbabwe etc...
choose that camp because of the remoteness that it promised, and it delivered what i am always looking for, real bush camp!!
special thanks to the great " moody" aka mohamed the manager there, always so friendly and listening to all questions or concern that you may have.
visit this fabulous place!!!

Chada/Katavi was also good, but if people are there for 7 days, then really trips to Paradise have to be included, otherwise the viewing areas etc are too limited. There was a reluctance to go up to Paradise for some reason…ended up with one trip, and I do not really understand why there was such a fuss before hand about only one fly camp.I think it has to do with vehicles etc…..but they are charging well,so maybe need to provide the services those prices suggest. The accomodation and food were great,Julian and the guides were top notch.Having 6 people (3 different groups) in one vehicle is not that great, and obviously that is what the deal was…
