Ruaha River Lodge - The Detail
The lodge seems to grow from every rocky outcrop and crevice in ever-evolving winding paths, linking clusters of fairly basic stone and thatch bandas. The lodge has been divided into two distinct areas and guests may require safari vehicle transfers to one of the vast central dining bandas. Food is home-grown, all imported from the Fox family farm in the wonderful highlands around Iringa, presenting simple, wholesome fare.
Ruaha River Lodge was completely revamped in 2006 and the new rooms are about 3 times the size of the old rooms
