Kirurumu Ngorongoro is a stunning tented camp situated on rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, boasting sensational views. It is a very intimate camp in a true safari style, a far cry from the large, faceless chains that are also present on the rim. Great views, great guides and great value!

Kirumuru Ngorongoro Camp - The Facts

Kirurumu Ngorongoro is a new tented camp situated near the Ngorongoro Crater. It's the sister camp to the existing Kirurumu Manyara and Kirurumu Tarangire camps, and enjoys a similar comfortable and simple set-up. It is situated right on the edge of the Crater Rim in an incredibly scenic area with vast landscapes and incredible views. It is a fantastic option for the Ngoronoro crater, much more intimate than the large camps such as Serena or Sopa - and much more affordable than Crater Lodge. It is a charming camp, rather rustic and a little more off the beaten track.

With a number of Masai Villages near the camp there are some wonderful cultural attractions. It is a fantastic place to walk, espcially up Olmoti mountain to a beautiful waterfall and the Munge river which feeds the game swamp in the crater.

With only 10 guests tents the service is excellent and comfortable. Each tent with an ensuite bathroom. There is an dining tent and campfire area with wonderful views - the perfect place to watch the sun go down.
