A GUIDE TO TANZANIA SAFARI HOLIDAY ITINERARIES
All of our 50 itineraries are tailor made for each individual client, according to their budget, requirements and preferences. We don't sell pre-packaged trips of any kind. However, in order to show you how some of the different elements can fit together, and some of the kinds of trips that previous clients have taken, we set out here a few example itineraries. These are for illustration purposes only and should not be read restrictively. Your trip can include elements of any combination of any of these itineraries - the only limitations are your budget and your timeframe!

Lake Manze is a genuinely fantastic yet simple safari camp. It has a prime position on the edge of a beautiful lake and is within shouting distance of pods of bathing hippo. No electricity in the lodge gives it a rustic edge, yet its comfort and charm give it an old world gravitas that other camps can’t touch. The camp is not about five star luxury, but in terms of safari and value for money, there are none better.

Mdonya is without doubt the best value camp in Ruaha National Park. It has that same charm and character of its famous sister camp in the Selous, Lake Manze Tented Camp. Mdonya may be basic and simple but this is what Ruaha is all about. It is a fierce and wild park and Mdonya is in a very wild area of it. With its great location you can rely on there being quality game viewing and you don’t necessarily need to spend that extra cash if luxury is not your priority. Mdonya and has always delivered and we have a lot of faith in this little camp.

ITINERARY-
Impala Selous is placed right on the banks of the Rufiji River, in an incredible position for spotting the local inhabitants. It’s not nearly as expensive as its extremely luxurious competitors but very close in terms of service. The raised tents offer every comfort, with two of them being adjoining ‘family’ tents. A very friendly camp, great for children and offering the best of the Selous.

ITINERARY-
The new Maramboi Tented Lodge is set in a picturesque location between the Tarangire and Lake Manyara ecosystems, allowing for a very unique opportunity to view the wildlife in this little visited area. Set within the private managed corridor that also has the up-market Chem Chem and Manyara Ranch. Maramboi is a cost effective lodge for those keen on visiting Tarangire who prefer to avoid the bustle of the northern areas of the park and want to keep costs down.

The Serengeti offering from the Kirurumu brand, Kirurumu Serengeti Camp is a great value mobile tented camp. The camp moves between Seronera and Ndutu while a second camp runs from June through to October in Kogatende. It's a very good camp in its own right but if you're looking to see Mara River crossings without blowing the budget this camp stands out head and shoulders above the rest.
