A brand spanking new, multi-faceted, lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands. It’s expansive, clean and luxurious. It’s by no means traditionally built but can very much serve a purpose if you’re looking for a place in that region. The surroundings are undoubtedly stunning and the backdrop of the coffee plantations are awe inspiring.
Kitela Lodge
Kitela Lodge is situated on top of a valley overlooking its lush gardens, coffee plantations and the eastern wall of the
Ngorongoro Crater. It’s set over a large, expansive set of gardens that give the place quite a tropical feel. The fertile ground works wonders for garden of such a huge variety of flora and fauna.
The large main area is modern in design and is full of mod cons to make your stay very comfortable. It’s not the most homely of places but the food is good and locally sourced and the service is very attentive.
The rooms are dotted around the garden, each one boasting spectacular views. The rooms are clean and simply furnished. Each one has its own stove for the colder nights at higher altitude. A nice start to a
Tanzania safari.
