Shooting Star It is a lovely intimate property on the eastern shores of Zanzibar consisting of 14 cottages, 10 with sea views, nestled amongst palms trees and natural gardens.
Each of the 14 rooms has been built in a traditional Zanzibari style with thick Makuti thatch rooving and they each have a private verandah on which to realx and take in the surrounds. The communal area consists of a good restaurant/bar that serves genuinely interesting local food, and an infinity pool the flows seemlessly, apparently, into the ocean beyond.

Shooting star is a good option of you are looking for a little quiet on your holiday. The rooms are all well located and spacious and the pick would certainly be the sea view rooms. This is not really somewhere that you should cosider if you have your family, and compared with other places such as Matemwe Bungalows, the service is slightly wanting.
