Another lovely safari camp from Asilia, it is almost identical to Olakira in style. The difference with Dunia is that it is placed very centrally in the Serengeti, fantastic for game viewing all year round. They have also found themselves a nice little corner from which they can enjoy the landscapes and views without the hustle and bustle of other vehicles that you often find around this area of the Serengeti.
Dunia Camp - The Facts
Dunia camp is a permanent tented camp in the Serengeti National Park. It is located between the popular Moru Kopjes and Seronera - in an area that boasts fantastic safari
viewing all year round. The only down side to this area is that it can attract a high number of tourists, but Dunia, one of the first camps in this area, has found itself a very secluded corner from which guests can sit back and enjoy the scenery as if they are the only ones there! The particular location was chosen as the valley in which it sits is home to some of the best resident game in the Serengeti eco system.
Similar to Olakira Camp, Dunia Camp is made up of 8 very comfortable and luxurious tents with 2 mess tents that act as the restaurant and main guest area. The tents, all raised on wooden decks, are particularly comfortable with fully operational en-suite bathrooms.
The food is lovely and the camp usually has what they call their ‘bush television’ on in the evenings; a roaring camp fire accompanied by stories of the Serengeti and drinks after a day of exciting game drives. Serengeti Safari
holiday makers often visit the Seronera safari
region and Dunia is one of the finest camps in the area. The camp is also a favourite of honeymooners
in search of some serious luxury.
Dunia is one of the best safari
camps in this area that still holds on to that true traditional safari camp feel.
