The Four Seasons is a hotel/resort rather than a small intimate safari lodge - ideal for those looking for the comforts and facilities of a large hotel chain rather than a small intimate safari experience. It’s not our preferred style but it’s the best of its kind in the Serengeti.
Four Seasons Safari Lodge, Serengeti - The Facts
Located just north of Seronera in the central
Serengeti, the Four Seasons sits high on a raised terrain with the view over the Serengeti and constant game moving through the lodge due to their permanent water hole, this is a large hotel which offers all the facilities you would expect from a large international hotel anywhere in the world. All of its 77 rooms and suites, including the five private Villas are complemented with butler service and decorated with handpicked African artwork.
The rooms are very luxurious with balconies looking onto the plains and stunning suites and private villas hosting some of the finest accommodations in the country.
The Horizon rooms are the best standard option with fantastic views and the Terrace Suites offer private plunge pools overlooking the Serengeti Plains. Every room is complimented with a view of the plains, but due to the size of the hotel you will need to travel from the restaurant to your room by golf cart or walk on the raised walk ways.
Four Seasons Serengeti - Activities
The hotel’s facilities include three restaurants, a bar and wine cellar, library, games room, conference room, art gallery and gift shop. There is a relaxed restaurant for light lunches and snacks, buffets at Kulas Restaurant and African feasts at Bomas Grill. The main activity here is game drives in the
Serengeti which are payable extra if you choose to use the Four Seasons or you can ‘bring in’ a private vehicle on a private basis from Arusha. The lodge is in close proximity to a balloon launch site for sunrise hot air balloon
safaris. Guests are also invited to use the lodge’s innovative Discovery Centre, where they learn about conservation & all things Serengeti.
