Naona Moru Camp

‘Wild elegance’ is the name of the game at Naona Moru, and it doesn’t disappoint. What’s so brilliant about this camp is that it’s tented, allowing you to appreciate the unique atmosphere of safari, but it’s also spoiling in its comforts. Tents are huge, attractive, and characterful. The guiding is also top notch.

Naona Moru Camp - The Facts

The 11 suites are a home away from home, with vibrant decor and brilliant views over this wonderful part of the Serengeti. Each tent has a large four poster bed, wooden touches, outside seating, and an indoor lounge area. Of course, there are also ensuites in each room.

As is Nasikia Camp’s forte, here you’re under canvas; not in a stuffy, cramped tent, but in an airy suite to write home about. The spaciousness of each tent also means extra beds can be added in family situations.

This area of the Serengeti is brilliant for year-round wildlife. It’s a 40 minute drive west from the main Serengeti hub of Seronera - with its famed concentrations of wildlife - but is far enough away that you won’t get bugged by a huge amount of other vehicles. It’s got brilliant concentrations of predators, antelope, elephant and everything in between (as you’d expect from a Serengeti safari).

In June and November, visitors here could be in with a chance of seeing the Great Wildebeest Migration passing through. Or, if this is on your bucket list and they are a bit too far away to find in a morning’s game drive, make sure you book a private vehicle so you can go on an adventure with your guide and a packed lunch to find the herds.

Walking safaris are also available here, and guests can also book a hot air balloon ride if they wish, to look at the vast plains from above.
